SUMMARY

1. Analysis of gait is part of the clinical examination and focused on from a pain perspective.

2. Look at gait aids, footwear, body habitus, evidence of deconditioning, posture, pain behaviour.

3. Look at the 4 gait phases with the perspective of pain: for instance, short stance phase due to hip pain on weight-bearing, etc.
