SUMMARY

1. Tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline) for: neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, low-back pain, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome.

2. SNRIs (duloxetine & venlafaxine): neuropathic pain, especially diabetic peripheral neuropathy, fibromyalgia.

3. SSRIs: uncertain role.
