SUMMARY
1. Female sex.
2. Race: African-American.
3. Lower socioeconomic background.
4. Higher rates of comorbid diseases.
5. Those who had intermediate risks (as above) at baseline were at more than twice the risk of becoming frail over 3 years, relative to those subjects with no frailty risks.
