SUMMARY

1. A person is not fit to hold an unconditional licence if the person has had an AMI, CABG or PCI.

2. A person should not drive for 2 weeks (for private licence) or 4 weeks (for commercial licence) following AMI.

3. A person should not drive for 4 weeks (for private licence) or 3 months (for commercial licence) following CABG.

4. A person should not drive for 2 days (for private licence) or 4 weeks (for commercial licence) following PCI.

5. A conditional licence may be considered by the driver licensing authority subject to periodic review and information provided by the treating doctor.
