SUMMARY

1. Smoking cessation.

2. Tight BSL control.

3. Tight BP control.

4. Tight lipid control: decreased triglycerides, decreased total cholesterol, decreased LDL (by 10-15%), increased HDL.

5. HRT in post-menopausal women.

6. Diet & exercise.

7. Alcohol consumption in moderation.

8. Weight reduction to achieve healthy BMI of 19-25.

9. Aspirin.

10. Management of OSA.
