SUMMARY

1. Intermediate stage. Follows immediate OPD cardiac rehabilitation.

2. Training sessions lasting 30min, 3x/week for 6-8 weeks.

3. Goals: refer to CARDIAC REHABILITATION-GOALS & BENEFITS.

4. Intermediate phase must be followed by a life-long maintenance program with exercise 2-3x/week.

5. Patient education & risk factor modification are essential.
