SUMMARY

1. Preventive Rehabilitation: goal is to maximize the recovery of function.

2. Restorative rehabilitation: augments self-care ability and mobility for patients whose cancer has been progressing and whose impairments of function and abilities are declining.

3. Supportive rehabilitation therapy: additionally includes preventing disuse, such as contractures, muscle atrophy, loss of muscles strength, and decubitus ulcers.

4. Palliative rehabilitation therapy: aims to relieve symptoms (e.g., pain, dyspnoea, and oedema) and prevent contractures and decubitus ulcers.
