SUMMARY

1. Joints: maintain integrity of the joints during the recovery process.

2. Pain: to achieve maximal muscle use at a tolerable pain level as the nerve is recovering.

3. Sensation: educate in safety and protection due to sensory loss.

4. Muscles: maintain strength in unaffected muscles.

5. Function: assist in returning to productive activities.
