SUMMARY

1. Tetraplegia: impairment of the arms, trunk, legs & pelvic organs.

2. Paraplegia: impairment of the thoracic, lumbar or sacral segments of the spinal cord.

3. None of these pertain to plexopathies or peripheral nerve injuries outside the neural canal.

4. The zone of partial preservation (ZPP) is defined as the most caudal level below NLI with sensory preservation and used for all ASIA levels.
