SUMMARY

1. K0: does not have the ability to ambulate or transfer safely & a prosthetic will not enhance QOL or mobility.

2. K1: house-bound ambulator; has the ability for ambulation on level surfaces at fixed cadence.

3. K2: community walker, fixed cadence; has the ability to traverse low level environmental barriers.

4. K3: community walker, variable cadence; has the ability to traverse most environmental barriers.

5. K4: exceeds normal walking, high impact stress & energy levels.
