SUMMARY

1. Age: younger patients.

2. Male sex.

3. Good premorbid function and mobility.

4. Lack of comorbid conditions.

5. Traumatic amputation: as opposed to diabetic or vasculopathy-related amputation which would confer worse prognosis.

6. Unliteral amputation as opposed to bilateral amputation.
