SUMMARY

1. Synonymous for “neurotomy” include “ablation,” “denervation,” and “lesion.”

2. Before neurotomy, sensory, and motor stimulation confirm non-radicular stimulation and 0.5-1 cc volume of local anesthetic is administered for patient comfort.

3. The time and duration of the denervation vary between practitioners (e.g. three 90-sec cycles at 80°C–85°C).
