SUMMARY

1. Cranial component: forms the motor part of the vagus. Supplies the larynx, pharynx, oesophagus, soft palate

2. Spinal component: supplies the SCM and trapezius

3. Muscles of the soft palate & pharynx (LAMPSS): Levator palati, All constrictors (cricopharyngeus, thyropharengeus), Muscularis uvulae, Palatopharyngeus, Palatoglossus, Salpingopharyngeus, Striated muscles of the oesophagus
