SUMMARY

Regulators of blood volume:
1. Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.

2. Receptors in carotid sinus, regulate the activity of sympathetic nervous system. Increase sympathetic activity increases renin release.

3. Cardiac receptors regulate the release of atrial natriuretic peptide and brain natriuretic peptide.

NOTE
Regulators of plasma osmolality: osmoreceptors of the hypothalamus.
