SUMMARY

CAM
Confusion Assessment Method, validated tool. Delirium is present if 1 and 2 AND either 3 or 4 are present:
1. Acute & fluctuating course
2. Inattention
3. Disorganised thinking
4. Altered level of consciousness

4AT
5. Assesses: Alertness, Attention, Orientation, Fluctuating course
6. Validated tool, score of ≥ 4/12 indicates delirium.
