THYROID-ULTRASOUND
SUMMARY
1. Determine size & number of nodules.
2. Differentiate between cystic or solid nodules.
3. Stratify a nodule's malignancy risk: low, medium, or high.
4. Localize a nodule for fine needle aspiration.
5. Follow up a nodule's size over time when malignancy is suspected.
6. Follow-up patients post-resection.
