SUMMARY

3 zones: think GFR; all released by CRH (from hypothalamus) ⟹ ACTH (from anterior pituitary).
1. G: glomerulosa ⟹ aldosterone (salt).
2. F - fasciculata ⟹ cortisol (sugar).
3. R - reticularis ⟹ androgens (sex). Mainly dehydroepiandrosterone [DHEA] and testosterone.
