STROKE-RESUSCITATION
SUMMARY
1. ABC of critical care: airway management, respiratory support, BP control.
2. IV fluids, avoid hypotonic fluids which may worsen cerebral edema.
3. Keep patient NBM.
4. Emergent CT brain (plain scan) +/- angiography & perfusion scan.
5. Seizure management.
6. BSL: keep patient normo-glycemic.
7. ICP control.
8. Fever management: fever can be potentially harmful to the ischemic brain.
