SUMMARY

1. Urinary urgency/frequency, over-active bladder: due to pontine micturition center dysfunction. Mgm: anticholinergics, beta-3 agonists, intavesical botulinum toxin.

2. Constipation: central and peripheral components, may be related to painful spasms of the external anal sphincter. Mgm: laxatives, fibre and prokinetic agents.

3. Erectile dysfunction: hypothalamic dysfunction. Mgm: phosphodiesterase inhibitors.
