SUMMARY

1. Risperidone: 0.25 mg BD orally initially, increase by 0.25 mg every 2 days. Max dose 2 mg daily.

2. Olanzapine: 2.5 mg DAILY orally initially, increase by 2.5 mg every 2 days. Max dose 10 mg daily.

3. Quetiapine: 12.5 mg NOCTE orally initially. Max dose 75 mg daily.

NB: 2018 Cochrane review showed that discontinuation may make little/no difference to overall Behavioural & Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD), these may be successfully discontinued in adults ≥ 65 yrs.
