WEGNER'S GRANULOMATOSIS

SUMMARY

Now known as Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA), it is a vasculitis that involves all of the following:
1. Affects the upper respiratory tract, paranasal sinuses & kidneys

2. Causes a granulomatous pulmonary vasculitis with large (sometimes cavitary) nodules
3. Causes a necrotizing glomerulonephritis
4. Sometimes, it is limited just to the lungs (called "limited" GPA)
