SUMMARY
1. Acute treatment of APS: acute clots are treated with anticoagulation, usually low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH).
2. Treat the underlying disease if APS is secondary.
3. Lifelong anticoagulation is usually given: warfarin & hydroxychloroquine in non-pregnant patients (as warfarin is teratogenic).
