SUMMARY

1. O: ASIS & anterior iliac crest.
2. I: iliotibial band, that attaches to the lateral tibial condyle.
3. NS: superior gluteal n.
4. A: abducts, internally rotates thigh; flexes the thigh at the hip; helps keep knee extended.
