DEEP VEINS OF THE LEG

SUMMARY
1. Anterior tibial v. - lies in the anterior/extensor compartment of the leg. 2. Posterior tibial v. & peroneal v. - lie in the deep posterior compartment of the leg.
3. There are no deep veins in the lateral compartment & superficial posterior compartments of the leg.
