Dr Appukutty Manickam
MBBS, MRCS (Ed), M. Med (Surgery), FAFRM (RACP)
Clinical Statement
Dr Manickam's interests are in neurointervention, managing acute stroke, movement disorders, spinal injury and the applications of artificial intelligence in medicine.
He tailored his training towards achieving this goal, having completed Rehabilitation Medicine training, radiology anatomy and physics courses, surgical and critical care courses. He has also worked in neurosurgery and ICU for 6 years, published in various neurology & neurosurgical journals and presented in neurosurgical & radiology conferences.
Having completed the Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship (in August 2022) and concurrently commenced Basic Physician Training in August 2021 at the Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, Dr Manickam currently divides his time between physician training and being a part-time Rehabilitation Staff Specialist at the Spinal Injury Unit, Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney.
