1. Involvement of MCPJ, PIPJ, sparing of the DIPJ2. Erosion of the head of MC & ulna styloid
3. Reduction in joint space

LATE CHANGES
1. Loss of joint space
2. Carpal destruction
3. MCPJ & PIPJ subluxation

4. Z-deformity of thumb
5. PIPJ erosion: active disease
