1. No abnormality
2. Simple compression (compression fracture, end-plate disruption, sagittal or coronal plane vertebral fracture)
3. Burst fracture
4. Distraction injury (perched facet, posterior element fracture)
5. Rotation/translation (facet dislocation, tear-drop fracture, advanced compression injury, bilateral pedicle fracture, floating lateral mass
