SUMMARY

1. O: subscapular fossa.
2. I: lesser tuberosity of humerus. 
3. NS: upper & lower subscapular n.
4. A: internally rotates & adducts arm. 
5. The muscle is separated from the bare area of the lateral angle of the scapula by a subscapular bursa, which communicates laterally with the cavity of the shoulder joint.
