SUMMARY


1. Attached to the scaphoid tubercle & trapezium on the radial side; pisiform & hook of hamate on the ulnar side.
 2. The retinaculum itself is a wide fibrous band that begins 1cm proximal to the distal wrist crease and ends 3cm distal to the crease.3. The tendon of the palmaris longus is fused with it.
