PULMONARY SARCOIDOSIS-SYSTEMIC CORTICOSTEROIDS

SUMMARY

Indication for systemic corticosteroids is persistent hypercalcemia and evidence of involvement of other organs:
1. Eyes (conjunctivitis, uveitis)
2. Heart (conduction abnormalities)
3. CNS (signs of optic nerve or optic chiasm involvement)
4. Lungs (severe pulmonary symptoms)
5. Skin (severe skin lesions)
