SUMMARY

1. TFT: low TSH (usually < 0.01 mU /L) + raised free T4

2. RAIU: raised uptake

3. Scintigraphy: diffuse uptake

4. TSI (thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin): positive in >90% of patients

5. Other findings: anaemia, thrombocytopenia, raised ALP, hypercalcemia
