SUMMARY
1. Transverse head: fan-shaped, arises from the whole length of palmar border of 3rd MC. Inserts into ulnar sesamoid of thumb (ulnar side of the base of the proximal phalanx of the thumb).
2. Oblique head: arises from 2nd, 3rd MC bases, trapezoid & capitate. Converges with the transverse head to insert into the ulnar sesamoid of thumb.
3. Supplied by the deep branch of the ulnar nerve. Adducts the thumb.
