SUMMARY
1. Vasoconstrictor found in platelets, chromaffin tissue in gut, brain & retina.
2. Derived from tryptophan.
3. Functions: vasoconstriction, contraction of ileum, potentiates effects of noradrenaline, central neurotransmitter, may be involved in cerebral vasospasm & migraine.
