NON-PHARMACOLOGICAL
1. Splinting, immobilisation during acute exacerbations; slow passive ROM, heat & massage
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AGENTS
2. Paracetamol, NSAIDs
3. Steroid injection (as only few joints involved)
NON-BIOLOGIC DMARDs
4. Sulfasalazine (well tolerated, not immunosuppressive), methotrexate, leflunomide
BIOLOGIC DMARDs
5. TNF-alpha antagonists: infliximab, adalimumab, golinumab
6. Soluble TNF receptor: etanercept
